Digital Surgery

Digital Surgery

Digital Surgery is the application and implementation of digital technologies in surgical practice. Rather than referring to the digital transformation from analog to digital it is what happens when surgery has gone digital. Digital tools and applications have become the condition of successful care improving surgical procedures in duration, quality and postoperative outcome. The Digital Surgery team investigates three areas: the field of AI assisted decision-making, robotic (assisted) surgery and the implementation of mixed and virtual reality for preoperative planning and intraoperative guidance are covered by a growing force of technical enthusiasts among our surgeons, students and cooperation partners alike.
